Not long ago i started a thread on here about how much i love my wet vac.

The relationship has turned sour...

I got myself one of those special filters that allows you to suck up wet and dry stuff without changing the filter but now I am lucky if i can drain a teaspoon before it needs emptying.

Anyone had experience of this and know what the problem is?

Cheers

Dismantle (outside as it may get messy)
In bits does motor fire up ok
add filter
then motor back on base , still sounds good
put hose back on .

Blockage could be filter / pipe / Tilt over float

Point when motor revs right up , have added part with blockage
(or tilted it so far over -Float shut off trips)

( or motor is unwell )

It works as it did before except the capacity is much, much less for some reason I can't work it out.

My old grey model had big filter you put over the cage , and a tiny
little round filter at top inside the cage (where float slides up and down )
filter 4cm / 1.5 inch

What were you last sucking up ?
