Hi all. New guy here.

I have an old mixer tap arrangement. Photos included here. (Please forgive 70's decor, limescale, soapscum & wing-nut job .)

The rubber washer involved in redirecting flow to the shower head was, I believe, saucer-shaped. Difficult to tell seeing it's crumbled away. It's about 7/8" or 15/16", best I can make out.

Where can I get a replacement, ideally for the whole valve. I think it's the Swan brand. Don't want to replace whole shebang - expense + difficult job for an old codger.

Your help appreciated!

P.S. Btw, what's up with the rude (and vicious) smilies on this forum? And what do these ones signify --> :92::93:. This is not also an EDL forum, is it? :ack2:

hello morningster, have you tried your local plumbers merchant?

Hi, Simon.

Yes, I did try a while back. Nothing doing. What I really need is either to get hold of Swan themselves or somebody specialising in 'legacy' fittings, or just an equivalent, working replacement.

Why the :shout: isn't it possible to get one's hands on a simple rubber washer?

Would be nice to just get parts, but I would change entire mixer as it is very cheap & you will then have no bother with the other bits, like the hot & cold works, for a long time hopefully.

Swan taps from Plumb-Center, But you will be lucky to get parts, New tap from Plum-Center about £60.00

Swan is a Plumb Center brand. You may get lucky but its probably not available or a rip off if it is.
