What's the white contact button for

what's that contact button for under the avatar on some people?
if you touch it, it will turn grey but nothing happens.

Just clicked on yours and it went to start a conversation screen, the old PM system.

Ah right. I clicked Shaun's and screen changed but on yours and one other it did nowt.
I'll get used to it!
