Hi newbie here,
I have a vaillant ecotec pro 24 boiler, the heating side is fine, but im struggling with variation in temperature on the dhw side. Ive cleaned and now changed the p.hex and changed the ntc sensor myself. Im still having probs and want some info on locating and cleaning the canoe filter?? Anyone point me in the right direction, ill also check the rubber hoses etc this time aswell. Ive been advised that d.v and pump are functioning fine???

Sorry pal , no answers here related to gas , unless you are gas safe of course

Have you tried a wier gauge to measure how much water your using compared to what the boiler can deliver?

As per the forum rules you will not be given any advice as to a diy boiler repair. You have already acted illegally removing the cover which creates a combustion seal. Please call a gas safe engineer

I may be acting "illegally" but to be honest im more competent than the 2 so called 'gas safe registered engineers' ive had already. When something you own or invest in f£€ks up then you have a inner energy to sort it yourself after paying specialist people to get no where!!!!. Typical modern day........in my eyes you learn by doing NOT BY READING it from a manual

Thats why you should get a referral from neighbours, friends, colleagues or family. Yes there are some pith poor engineers out there. But there are far more good ones.

Still not a valid excuse to break the laws of the land, but can understand the frustration.

Closed you’ve been told and you don’t care

Well to most of us it’s learned from training hands on and from building up a competency. I’m sorry but your frustration is no excuse for law breaking and potentially putting others at risk. As a result I will suggest a different engineer if youve not been happy with the previous ones or maybe even contact the manufacturer for a fixed price repair. That’s all the help you’ll get from us on the matter as you can’t seem to see that what you’ve done is wrong. Thread closed

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
