I had a van clear out on Wednesday. It wasnt voluntary though, some scroat cleaned the van of power tools.
Now got the drawn out process of claiming.
Whilst on the subject does anyone have slam shut locks on their van, and do they recommend them?

yep, had a bg van with slam door locks, alls well till the side door slams shut on your fingers and goes CLICK, then you worry whether or not the keys are in your pocket as its starting to hurt!. My keys were when i did it, luckily otherwise they are a pain in the bum!!!!

Exactly same thing happened to me. But fingers weren't in lock ad keys weren't in pocket

Use locks4vans they are ace.

Looking at either a combo of alarm and deadlocks/slam shuts.
Dont want that to ever happen to me again

Yeah, got Scorpion slam locks on mine. I keep a spare key on my house key ring which is always on my belt loop, as well as the one on my van ring.....never happened yet but I'm taking no chances! A mate of mine is a locksmith who specialises in vehicle security. I asked him if he'd be able to break in without too much damage if I ever needed him to. He had a good look at them & decided he'd no chance! Good enough for me, and I've still got all my tools.....:-D

I quite like giving my van a once over, I find it quite relaxing. I do it with my music on, a cup of tea and a few cigarettes :)

I've got a decent set of racking in my van, and I've added extra storage boxes to it that a mounted onto the existing racking. Everything is labelled and I know where everything is.

Its due a clean out Thursday because I'm off work so ill post up a few pictures. I find I can work faster knowing exactly where everything is.

As as for the deadlocks, I've got an ex BG van and the locks on it are superb. After having my old van done over and everything stolen, I wouldn't even contemplate not having extra security now.
