Do TRVs go on the flow or the return? Which side of the rad is the flow and which is the return?

trv,s normally get fitted to rads, rads are those large white things that get hot, trv,s are normally by directional as in they swing both ways, like VT allegedly,VT is a annoying brummie brumingham is a city in england where that other t thing comes from called a tvr or was that norfolk,no it was somewhere else but you can only fit trvs to rads not tvr,s as thats a car and would not fit
they are very noisy, and go on the flow rust could be a problem thoughNot sure if I should feel educated or confused, where do you fit a TVR and are they noisy? I hear they break easily, i guess when they get knocked by a hoover around the radiator.

but the chassis is steel, like rads, not like trvs which are brass and plastic, worcesters are plastic and leak all the timetvrs are/were made in blackpool, made of grp
probably, think we ave confused the op big style yet?:smile:I'm sure TVR's had a tendency to leak also.
