Hi Guys,

Can anyone throw any ideas at me please?
I have a 3 year old shower/mixer tap in my bathroom which over the last 6 months has stopped working the cold properly.

I turn the cold on and it only completes one turn and stops, but this only allows a trickle of water out before then stopping the cold water completely.

I've unscrewed the cap and it looks fairly fine....

I can't add a photo to the post but you can see the photo by accessing:

Any ideas?

Take out the the valve body and replace the rubber seals/ ceramic disks. Or even better the whole valve body

Sounds like the washer has come off or theirs water where it shouldn't be! you need to isolate the cold supply to the tap (open tap to make sure it's off), unscrew the tap insert and either change washer and grease with a silicone grease or Vaseline and replace or take it down to your local plumbing merchant and replace for new.
