I was made redundant 4 months ago after working for tesco for 5 years, i came away with a nice pay off but ive been forced to go back into warehousing as this was all i could find.
Iam sick of this type of work and have been talking with my plumber about changing my career path and hes advised me that underground heating is still quite new and that the demand is growing because its green technology, ive had a look around on the internet but its very hard to find anything about it or about courses ( this is all i could find Heat pumps training courses uk . ) so i was hoping someone could give me advice on how to enter this industry.
Needless to say i have no experience and i have a family so that stops me from training full time but iam only 26 and i know people start a new career all the time.
Thanks in advance :)

Hi Plumbob

Yes, underfloor heating is very popular, but just bear in mind that you are very isolated to a specific area of plumbing and not every body will want this work done. Therefore you may have quiet days from time to time.

To fill the quiet gap, you should be doing other plumbing work.

Look here for plumbing & tiling courses:

Good luck!!

I think hes talking about ground source heat pumps, for more info contact worcester bosch or viessman as they supply this equipment and also provide training courses
