Could someone give me some advice please?
Smell from kitchen sink but only when tap is running. No smell from under the sink.
Have a p trap installed. Have cleaned it all out but makes no diff. Have checked there is water in the trap.
The p trap connects directly to the sink waste, it does not have a tail piece. Would that make a diff?
Many thanks in advance

Its not the waste if it only happens running a tap and you've cleaned thr trap

Smell your overflow sometimes stinky stuff come through there

is the washing machine connected too ?

No smell from overflow. Can only smell anything when tap is running. 20151010_094446_HDR.jpg

Just checked overflow again. On loosening I can def smell something now. Might be on the right track now.
Many thanks guys

I'd be suspicious of the flexible pipe that goes through the side of the cupboard, it may be causing a restriction and gathering material from the sink.
Solid pipe would be better.

Got it. I have one of these new slim line overflows. I can believe how much crap is stuck in there. Thanks for all your help, its appreciated.

Cheers

yes i thought the hose too, that was my first check. Was totally clean.
