We have a traditional hot water tank with pumps in loft , the hot water I assume goes up into the loft from the hot water tank and the pumps pump it out at a decent rate.

If we go for a combi how would this work as feb hot water would come from the boiler?

So in terms of the pipe that supplies the hot water where would it come from?

I though combis give good showers as long as the LPM are decent ? We get about 20 LPM from mains and the boiler can handle 17 LPM

The hot pipe comes straight out of the boiler !!
LPM from your combi depends on the flow , incoming water tamp and the boiler size ( kw )

Does that mean they would need to run a new pipe from the boiler to the shower then? Sorry I am so new to this , just can get my head around how the current pipe work is set up for the traditional hot water tank

Is your shower capable of being mains fed ?

I assume the cold water for it is coming from mains and the hot from the loft via the pump Which links back to the hot water tank.

It’s all boarded up with shower boards so not sure in exact pipe work , the shower we have is a mixer tap shower

Can anyone remember the Mira mixer shower that would work down to a really low pressure on a vented hot water system without a shower pump?
