I bought a chest of drawers a while ago, whilst building I found the sliders nylon (wasen't impressed) sure enough they started to snap so is it easy enough to replace them with new metal runners?

Existing nylon sliders are 245mm x 15mm

id just make a wooden rail and wax it with some candle grease
