I’m hanging a double radiator onto a dot & dab wall. I’m going to drill through the plasterboard & knock the brown plugs through to the masonry behind for a solid fixing, would this be ok?

For my single panel radiators I used 5 mm washers with COREFIX METAL & PLASTIC 100 HEAVY DUTY DOT & DAB WALL FIXINGS 10MM X 95MM:
  • 24 pack Screwfix 344HG
  • 6 pack Screwfix 973KJ
  • 4 pack Screwfix 792RG
I’m just a DIYer.

As above use a lengthy fixing so the wall plug head is in the plasterboard while also gripping the masonary. That way you have a rigid fixing between rad bracket and the wall not the plasterboard.

Must use purpose-designed fixings or the plasterboard will bow in and crack when you screw the hanging bracket to the wall. 'Rigifix' brand fixings work well for me.

Depends on how thick your dabs are you can use a piece of metal conduit to span the distance

10mm drill for 10mm fixing, 45mm max distance between outer wall and board.
