Swapped a Honeywell ST699 with a ST9400c and hot water works, but radiators cold any ideas. Wired as per install guide.

Did heating work B4? Room sat on full? They're first checks I guess ... :)

Heating worked with the ST699 (old switch), but not now. Checked wiring a few times. Heating works on ST9400c (new replacement switch) switch, but radiators not heating. Searched the Internet for help & nothing. So here to see if anyone has similar problems with any switch has been replaced and had similar issues.

If it worked before but isn't now it's down to you or the programmer you've fitted it faulty! RU sure it worked B4? Custards can be unreliable aroun d this time!!

It's a brand new out of the box programmable switch. Guessing this is what you are calling a custard. Will call Honeywell tomorrow see what they say.

no mate custard is slang for customer ...... IThe fault is either down to your wiring or the customer is lying/forgetful/selective with the truth!!!!

Nothing wrong with ST699. Needed to seperate the ho****er & heating via 2 channels that the ST9400c provides. Gravity HW.

........Gravity HW.

Now there may lie your problem. You have to have both heating and hot water on together to get heating to work! Hot water brings boiler on, C/H brings pump only on!

Did you alter the mode to mini-programmer?

no should I?

Yeh, check out the installation instructions, it mentions gravity heating and how to change the installer settings ... That should bring them both on for c/h ... I'm assuming mind as I haven't had to do it myself 'bmcglone'.
