Evening All,
I've got a new customer who's moved into the house that Jack built. No sooner have a replaced the illegal flue than the 5 year old Promax has developed dhw problems. It was your classic blocked phex so I replaced it. Then it started making an horrendous noise so on Baxi's advice I stripped all the brass off and descaled them. When I reassembled it the heating went off too. So now it's kettling on both heating and dhw despite a new plate and a good clean. The pump is spinning, I have continuity on the overheat thermostat. There's obviously a blockage somewhere. Has anyone any ideas? If it's a blocked main heat exchanger how would I clean it? Any advice appreciated.

Jock

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
