Discuss Potterton Performa 30 HE and relay switching thermostat (Tado) in the Central Heating Forum area at PlumbersForums.net

I have now established that my boiler, a Baxi Potterton Performa 30 HE will only work in relay (on/off) mode.

Looking at the wiring diagram below, which terminals would I connect to the new version of the extension box? Tado won't tell me. When I installed my first Tado system on an older Vaillant boiler I was sent step by step instructions. Now they say they won't give out any information only a professional installer would need. This is the relevant page in the installation manual. I am assuming a connection between Live or terminal 1 and terminal 2 would fire the boiler?

This is the wiring diagram Tado sent me for my old Vaillant boiler with relay switching. I am assuming I'd connect L and N to L and N in the Tado extension kit, and terminal 2 at the boiler to terminal 4 in the extension kit.

Would this work?

Thank you!
