Has anyone used this or a similar product?

Bosch GMS120 Digital Wall Scanner | Specialist Measuring | NoLinkingToThis

I bought a similar product over 5 years ago but never used it? Have no idea whereabouts in the garage it is now. But am tempted to buy that one

I had something similar but never used it, I don't even know where it is.

Drill and close your eyes is my method. 99.9% success rate guaranteed :)

I use this one

It's the best hammer I've ever used for dismantling stuff!! Also good at getting in tight spots like alongside an edge or a corner.

however if you miss it will either destroy what was left of your digits or leave a horrible v shaped dent in what it was you were working on

Have been using that method all these years, but last week, a builder phoned me to attend a property in Battersea where he had put a nail through a gas pipe. I know it is a common occurence, but I suddenly realised that at some point in the future, I might do summat similar. I will be well gutted. So I want to take action to at least alleviate such an occurence

Yep! Cable locators are poop. If you need to screw you need to screw so drill it. If you hit a pipe woooooops .

Their probably a great idea if you remember to use them. If you have spent all these years using a dash of plumbers faith, then you probably wont be arsed to get it out of the van when it's really needed.
