I have a 6 inch square yard gulley connected directly to a 110 underground drainage pipe. I have two sinks discharging into there as well as a square section gutter down pipe. Butnow I am installing a sump and float-pump in the garden and the nearest gulley for discharge is the same overcrowded gulley.

There is a 110 soilpipe going down nearer to the sump and pump. My question is “ can I use a strap-on boss and connect the pump discharge pipe directly into the soilpipe. I ask because I know this may lead to drain smell - but the sump chamber has a tight lid.

Thank you for any advice
