I live in flat so the big issue I am having is figuring out where to run the condense pipe, so far everyone wants to run a long pipe to the bathroom which will look ugly.

Had one engineer today who said just run it outside, I am top flat and the side wall faces trees so wont affect anyone. He said that you can now put a filter on the pipe which converts it to normal water (i.e reduced the acidity) apparently this complies with building regulation but wanted to confirm with the experts on here?

Thanks again
JK

better read building regs then as your being had if you think u can run it down an outside wall, the neutralizers last a yr then need replacing, or all your mortar joints would disappear. the condensate drain needs to run into a waste/soil pipe or into its own soakaway as detailed in boiler manufacturers instructions and building regs

no you didnt!!!!!!!!!

they do say eliminates the need for a soak away.

so this means you can just have it running into what ?

still has to be a drain of some sort surely

You cant just run it out side dripping onto somones car etc, avoid the guy thats said this.

thanks for the responses (most of them anyway) - so what you are saying is that even with the neutraliser you cant just run it outside the building even if its just falling onto trees - I was told this was OK with building reg, I thought it was a stretch hence my post!
