One for the electricians amongst you.

If I wanted to run a few domestic sockets or even a whole ring main (seperated from CU of course) from my generator and do so safely with regards to electronic devices what device or kit should or could I use inline to make it a safe supply?

Really, I didn't think it would be that big a deal. Could just buy an generator inverter instead but they tend to just go up to 3kw.

The problem comes when you try and run sensitive electronics off the inverter for best results you need a pure signwave model

I thought a generator inverter was for sensitive kit, I had a look through some posts on the electricians forum and the most relevant post I found suggested not to worry about it cos most electronic items like laptops had resilient PSUs.
