Bouught a used van from a dealer 2 weeks ago, he gave us 30 day warranty incase any major problems with it. We had an issue we wanted fixed and he changed accelerator peddle and didnt help, this was an intermittent fault so his guy took it for a test drive said its fine, we explained its not and we want a fault diagnostic test on it which they werent willing to fork out for im guessing. Putting fault down to crud in e fuel line even thoughh they changed filter and put fuel cleaner through it.

now the van has broke down so cant work today in effect losing money. Should we bill them for loss of earnings? Or will it be a waste of time.

Might be difficult claiming loss of earnings, it sounds like the garage don't even want to warrant there 30 day guarantee!

What sort of van is it out if interest, age, mileage?

Contact trading standards as they have sold you a vehicle that is unreliable

Most used cars and van warranties are done through a kind of insurance scheme done through a 3rd party.
There will be something in the small print saying they are not liable for any personal losses.

had the same on mine mate. First time it happened on the motorway I lost all power to the accelerater. Freaked me out big time!

It is a small crack in hose that goes between the carb and another thing i can't remember the name of. Dip the clutch turn off the ignition and restart it and it will run fine for a while again.
Easy fixed.

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
