Discuss New IDEAL HEATING 176940 12 03523 FLUE TURRET THREADED CAP in the Central Heating Forum area at PlumbersForums.net

Perhaps they didn’t and found an o-ring nearby?
since i had the boiler serviced, i think i'm getting a bit of an unusual smell. could be nothing. with the boiler off i checked the cap for tighgness and it wasnt tight at all, so i removed it and (as a motor mechanic) i noticed there was no O ring. so wanted to check before i rang the service engineer and give him a bollocking for not noticing the missing O ring lol. I'll ring him tommorrow and get him to sstrip the boiler again and check everything is ok.
