Looking at power tools and it would be nice to get them all from the one brand if thats even possible in order to save multiple charging units...but whats confusing me is if 1 companys 14.4v 3.3ah that came in a pack with drills....for example: [DLMURL="http://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/panasonic-cordless-kits/panasonic-eyc198-144v-combi-impact-driver-kit-cw-2-x-3133ah-batteries.html"]Panasonic EYC108 14.4v Combi & Impact Driver Kit c/w 2 x 3.3Ah[/DLMURL]

can those batteries then be used on: [DLMURL="http://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/panasonic-sds-hammer-drills/panasonic-ey7840-144v-naked-li-ion-sds-rotary-hammer-drill.html"]Panasonic Ey7840 X 14.4V Naked Sds Rotary Hammer Drill Panasonic[/DLMURL] and then also on: [DLMURL="http://www.powertoolworld.co.uk/panasonic-circular-saws-metal/panasonic-ey4542-multi-cut-saw-naked-144v-li-ion.html"]Panasonic Ey4542-X Multi Cut Saw 14.4V Li-Ion Panasonic[/DLMURL] or any of the other 14.4v naked tools they make?

and then also, what would haven to a unit if a higher or lower rated battery (from the same company) was placed in the machine....would it still work or cause any serious damage...overload???

Yes. Batteries are interchangeable. The Ah, or amp hour, rating is the length of time the battery will last. So as long as the voltage is the same, they will work.

Can't put an 18v battery in a 14v tool, but then tbh, you probably won't be able to.

P.s. you'll want to go to 18v at least in plumbing, 14.4v will be more suited to joiners who aren't putting as much stress o their tools.
