I left a magnetite stain on a pink carpet its dry as it was under a dust sheet any ideas of the beat thing to remove it

Personally j think your fluxed. Try handy wipes.

cut a suare out from under cupboard, cut the stain out and replace using x sided tape..sorted.

or try some ldf spray. also alcohol whipes work.

Spray bottle with a mix of water and a little detergent/ washing up liquid. spray on liberally and directly on the stain and suck out with wet vac. Do not rub or wipe or scrub. Spray till wet vac and repeat. It will lift right out just don't go rubbing or scrubbing it you will just grind it in to the fibers.

Armor carpet and upholstery cleaner from automotive shops , excellent stuff .

Would take a brave man or naive apprentice.

Slice the pile off with a razor blade.
Give it a pile transplant from under the bed, a drop os soooper glue to hold said transplant in place

went back today with rug doctor oxy action spray it worked a charm got it from b and q will take can of pink paint back as I didn't need it

Nice one, glad its sorted
If it didn't work I was going to suggest going outside picking up some dog mess and placing it on said stain, voila!
Only works if the custard has a dog though:001_9898:

The fittings below are for a mixer bar attached to a self contained shower. i.e not a wall. The attaching screws have snapped. I could get two new brackets, dismantle that existing one and start again or I could try and re attach via those screws, removing the broken ones from the plate and wall...

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.
