Chaps
wonder if someone can offer a little advice.
I fitted a new kitchen tap for an elderly couple two - three weeks ago real pig of a job but got there eventually.
All was was fine and I went on my way. Just received a call from customer today saying that tap had come loose on sink, no problem I thought. Quick call back to sort. Customer then tells me that it worked loose on about the first day and he thinks has been leaking underneath ever since. As a result he reckons water has got under his wood flooring.
What is my recourse here. I would have had no problem going back to this job the next day just to nip the tap up again but the customer has left it three weeks along with the drip. Surely I can't fix something if I don't know about it?
I'm reluctant to offer my insurance for this if the drip has caused damage but am a little confused as to where I sit legally.
Any thoughts appreciated
cheers
