I haven't had a problem as yet, but there are stories of customers taking liberties with Installers etc who just won't pay. Is there some sort of comprehensive insurance that would deal with such circumstances fees etc?? Does anyone have such insurance?

I can't imagine insurance companies wanting to touch any such policy with a 200ft barge pole mate. They would be paying out tons and what would your policy cost?

Well to be honest, landlords have such policies for those that do a midnight flit and damages which is a regular thing. You may be right.

I don't think so.
I think your best insurance is to be thorough with paper work (detailed quotes all changes agreed in writing, etc.) so that you can easily claim through the small claims court if they don't pay.

If it's a big job get material costs up front and payment in stages, it will hurt getting screwed out of labour costs but at least you won't have debts at your merchant.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
