Hello I am changing my bathtub faucet and the spout came off but there is a fitting stuck to the end that will not come off any ideas how to get it off the threads

You want to remove the external threaded (the one with the hex on?)
 
Might be easiest to use a hacksaw and cut it off eg cut from left to right on the body
 
It looks like you’ve been slipping on the round female threaded part that you wish to remove.
Hold the hexagonal part with a spanner; the rounded part should unscrew but you will need a self- tightening toothed jaw tool to get a grip on it - the best thing is a pair of stilsons.
