Hi. Ive just moved house and trying to figure out the heating and also save myself some money. I have this towel rail (see below) and cant figure for the life of me how to completely switch it off whilst the heating elsewhere is on. There are 2 valves that can turn but i dont even know which one does what. Any help much appteciated?

You should be able to replace one of the lockshields with a TRV. Drayton do a reasonable looking chrome one. Check the dimensions before buying to ensure it will fit. Also ensure that the always-on towel rail isn't being used as part of a bypass loop. Will need to fit an automatic bypass valve if this is the case.

Also, check the ventillation of the bathroom. Without the constant heat from the towel rail you may get a lot of condensation / mould.
