Hi all,
I really appreciate any help here - I’m not a plumber and live alone.

Two days ago everything was working fine, but then someone came to do my gas safety inspection and since then my hot water is still normal but my radiators aren’t working.

I have made sure the gas pipe is turned to on (see photo attached) and I have everything set up as it was before (I believe). It’s affecting all radiators and isn’t to do with any being turned off. No errors t comes up on the boiler. I don’t really want to have to call someone back if I can fix it myself…

Has anyone any idea what might have happened / what the gas safety engineer might have done?

Thank you in advance!

1. You should have a room thermostat, either mounted to the wall in a room or one you can take around. Make sure this is set to something like 21 degrees.
2. The timer in the centre of the boiler has a black switch in it, at about 10 o'clock on your third photograph. Make sure this switch is on either the timed (picture of a clock) or the on position (usually a 1) and not on the off (O) position.
3. If not either of these I'd suggest you tell the gas safe person they left it not working and ask them to return and fix it as a matter of urgency. In my view there should be no charge unless it is something you have done or a totally coincidental fault.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
