There aren’t any there just compression elbows
 
OK. Thanks for responding. I guess i just need to turn off the water at the mains ?

hows your hot water made ? Combi , cylinder

do you have tanks in your loft ?
 
Is the tap in question the kitchen tap ?
 
best option would be to turn the main off then open the bath hot if you have a bath if not kitchen hot will do wait until it stops then open the basin taps should be nothing coming out / should stop
