Hi guys,
Just a quick few words to introduce myself. Been plumbing for around 8-9 years and have recently decided to take the Gas Safe course which I've done the theory and the practical placement ( which was a little disappointing to say the least )
Anyway now cramming for the ACS exams which I'm hoping to get done over the next 4-6 weeks or so.

Not sure if this the right area of the forum to put this, but wanting to know if there is anyway of doing mock ACS exams to test my knowledge and also looking to offer my services 1 or 2 days a week to gain some more practical knowledge and evidence for my portfolio ( will need pics and be signed off )
Have my own tools and, transport and willing to travel within reason. Not looking for any money but also not looking to be treated like a slave.

Thank you in advance.

Chris.

Being a Slave is all part of becoming Gas safe registered once you sign up you will get lots of stick , and our masters take away our money every year, then allow us to work on gas. :53: Good luck & hope you do well, and remember when you join ! you'll forever have your hand in your pocket , paying out for something

Welcome to the forum! Tell me about the practical placement. Why so disappointing??

Welcome Chris, you don't need to do any mock exams really, just keep reading your books. As long as you know where to find the answers to the questions you don't know in your book then you'll be fine.

Welcome Chris,
c.gas has hit the nail on the head. It's more about knowing where to find the answer than actually knowing it. The Standards documents can be a little confusing if you're not used to them, but take it steady and use the contents page.

Has some of the other guys are saying it's not a memory test, a lot of the stuff you will know, just make sure that you read the question, and remember that some give more than 1 answer, Just done my CCN1 again, always a headache, some times the practical part is worse than the paper exam, Brush up on using analysers (CPA1) as this is now part of core module , And if you can afford it do the training days !
