Went out to look at a Thermaflow boiler yesterday to do a service. Got there and the pipework from the pressure relief valve is flowing uphill. But not just a bit uphill, vertically upwards for a metre into the floor void and then back down. Seems like the installer couldn't be bothered to chase it into the concrete floor and do the job properly.. The whole job was a joke!

Off to rip it out and replace it with an LPG boiler in the next couple of weeks as the install is so bad it will need a fortune spending on it to put it right. Will grab some photos as it's so bad it's funny!

:D It's pressurised will be fine, could you fit a remote prv to save you chasing the floor ?

Trust me mate that was the least of the issues. The boiler is missing some fairly expensive electric controls required to run it economically. No RCD protection on the 60A controls/immersion circuit.

Every joint in there is leaking (cheap plastic fittings).

Will be looking at £1k to fix everything properly.

Anyway, got any LPG boiler out of it :)
