Hi everyone,

I’m just at the end of week 4 of domestic Gas training. Really enjoying the course so far but so much info to take in.

Look forward to getting to know you all and I may have to pick so brains too :)

Cheers all :)

Hi Chewy, welcome to the forum. How long is the course you're on & what is your background/experience in Gas/plumbing? We are always happy to have our brains picked on here, but be warned we will not answer some gas related questions on the public threads which could lead to giving have a go heros a chance to think they can follow our advice and DIY with gas. So please do not be offended if some of your questions are not answered.

Oh I see. No problem:)

No Gas plumbing experience. I am a hands on guy though and do most things myself. Fitted a few bathrooms, kitchen, laying floors etc.

The course is 8 weeks in total, then off for the portfolio which is 30 jobs. I’m based in Norfolk NR28 and they’ve told me they may struggle to find me a mentor. I hope they do as that was the deal.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
