Is it passing water ? totally knackered?

Is the washer on the base blistered?
Looks like it in the photo

Just needs the seal replacing if it that... Popping them with a pin is a short term fix till you come back

Rather replace than repair not into short term fixes as its still a charge that if i was a customer wouldn't want to incur.

If you can repair it and you are certain it will work without having issues in the next weeks / month np than its nothing wrong with that.

As long as the mechanism works and you are able to change the seal / washer you are good to go.

But you are quite right it's always better to replace parts

I recall changing a grohe washer once & had multiple call backs about it not shutting off, I did indeed end up changing the whole lot lol so know what you mean!

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.
