gas help

Hi guys can you help me out?
my friend needs a gas pipe in his house caped off??
he asked me how to do it feck knows Im not touching it..
its all new plumbing and gas line from the meter outside new heating system and boiler.
He has a gas pipe with a push fit on it and wants to cap it properly.
do you need a solder end feed cap or will a brass compassion cap do it????
cant say i like the sound of GAS and BLOW TOUCH Is save to me!!!!!

being serious mate he asked me how its done ?? I dont do gas but i was genuinely asking how you do it as i dont know ?? sorry for asking but i only do basic water and air
