I have asked in several parts shops for a Bayonet cap, for extra piece of mine after disconnecting a flexi-hose permanantly but no-one has them. can anyone give me a link to a seller on or off line please?
cheers

Usually you'd remove the cooker bayonet and cap the backplate with a half inch plug.

Never seen or heard of one.

In void properties I work on I always remove the bayonet and plug the outlet.

unfortunately there has been a kitchen unit installed around it in the past so access is impossible to remove and cap. I just figured someone had invented one to be double safe. perhaps I had better make one and take it onto dragons den :smile5:

I'd buy one, that would be handy for times when an old bayonet is letting by, but its been there so long that something is now obstructing your access to it making removing it difficult

I doubt it would be commercially viable at a cost people would be willing to pay, as they would never sell in huge quantities.

If there was a real need or regs requirement for a closure cap then they would be supplied tethered to the bayonet when supplied.

It wouldn't be too difficult for a manufacturer to produce one, it just needs the hose end fitting with a cap sealed into it.

BES Mate part no 21067 bayonet type £5.12
Part no 7353 multi point type £4.09
Hope this helps.
