Thank you for all the helpful advice, the gas pipe into the boiler seems to be around 22mm, I can't see a number on it but is more than 15mm.
Also how does the 30 kw make a difference compared to the current 24 kw combi boiler, what are the advantages if it?

Sorry I should have mentioned the reason I ask for KW is the flat is around 600 square feet if this helps determine the size of a boiler thanks.
