Centralheatking

We usually have to do our own C/H wiring - hate it - loads of silly devices and small connections
to endless numbers of Cylinder stats,3 way valves/zone valves/frost stats/room stats blah blah

Its useless asking a 'proper spark p17' cause they dont or CANNOT do C/H controls.

We would be made up to employ a specialist who could lift this away from us and maybe
other outfits think likewise.

i get ya

had loads of issues in the past with sparks doing central heating wiring does my head in

On commercial jobs there are always controls electricians and normal electricans

i know loads of sparks that can wire heatings with there eyes closed. Most med to large companies have sparks that do nowt else.

problem is, why pay somebody to do it when i can do it myself and earn the money?

I do all my control wiring tbh. I used to rely on an electrician to come in. He was good at normal wiring but **** at control wiring. Left loads of neutrals loose in the wiring centre and wondered why it didn't work lol.

He's not much of a spark if he doesn't connect the neutrals, sounds dangerous to me

In fairness to him he did connect them, they connection was just not tight enough so half of them fell out lol.

My experience is that your run of the mill spark baulks at central heating wiring. I have 3 that I use and all are very good at heating wiring. In saying that though even I can wire an S plan :)

after having to pass on jobs to electrician for wiring up ch systems and not getting any jobs back , I went and done all the training and now do it on my own !
