Evening all,

Does any body have any info on Galv tanks?

Not sure if it's a water reg, good practise or just hear say on weather they should be changed.

I have always taken them out, but a customer we have quoted for is adamant that BG and another heating company are happy to install a new boiler and not change the tanks?

Currently standing my ground on it but looks like I'll lose the job for wanting to do it correctly.

Thanks guys

They obviously arent great , but you dont have to change them.

Just tell cus if they go later doesn't matter how long not your fault

"well Mr Scroggins, They rot from the inside you know. May look well outside but they're covered in scale, oxide and deposits from your heating systems activity over the past 30 years on the inside so it's hard to see the real condition of it to be honest and when they go, boy do they go !, normally when you're on holiday too Ha ha!

I'd change it but it's entirely your decision and I'll be happy either way...."

That normally scares em into wanting a new one but leaves to them to make the decision.

seen a old asbestos one last week when I was quoting a combi conversion. Are these supposes to be removed under regs?
