Hi To All,
Just a quick question - I have a number of radiators (combi system) which have flow and returns entering the radiator at the bottom two corners (traditional method??) however I have two radiators which have the flow and returns inserted in one side ie top and bottom of the radiator. Is the flow at the top or bottom and is it possible to convert them back to the traditional entry at the bottom?? Thanks to all in advance.

yes normally just a case of rerunning the one at the top to the opposite corner id look carefully at the floors as there may have been a reason to pipe these rads in this way usual reasons would be a steel in the floor or a old hearth

why would you want to, and what are you trying to achieve ??

5% more efficient if piped continental style In at the top out at the bottom oposite side.

Hi Shaun - Thanks for your reply and all others too. Reason is the twp pipes drop down from the ceiling the width of the rad on the surface of the wall and look really ugly - I want to reroute the pipes so they are together in a boxed in corner and bring pipes into the rad from below.

as said above ever so slightly more effiecent 5% im not sure think its 1.5 but thats beside the point, yep change the pipework sounds ugly !

you know, went to a big house 2 weeks ago. first time ever i have seen it done on the landing rad.

Done with chrome pipe and a chrome drayton tr4 on a cast Iron rad looks mint, well I think so anyway.
