Does anyone else run any vans with ad blue?

Im surprised how much mine uses!

isnt it something for emission ?

Lol cheers , it hasnt got up yorkshire yet lol , diesel additives have been available for years but I cant see how they are connected to a seperate tank ( i stand to be corrected lol ) just run it on red diesel , loads cheaper!!

and smells better or you could use chip fat and make it smell even better

You fill it up next to the fuel, red is best if you drive a tractor.

Think it might be a bit of a fad with all this emissions lark going about in the news.

Unless the government give me cheaper tax for it it's not something id be considering.

The new Transit customs run on it. Glad I purchased the last of the last model now:p

It seems a genuine thing. Totally new to me!

What is AdBlue?

Doesn't need filling often by the looks of it. Suppose it's another light to look out for on the dash lol

The selling point is that's it lasts ages. But the truth is, it is just another cost to lay out.

I don't run a van but both my cars use AdBlu. Needed to refill after about 10,000 miles, bought it on Ebay, 20 litres delivered was about ÂŁ20.00 so not too expensive.
The cars computer gives plenty of notice that you need to top it up and if you ignore it the car will refuse to start until you have!

I run a new Transit custom, which has adblue.
I would say mine lasts about 3000 miles and I buy a 20 litre drum for ÂŁ20 on eBay.

It's in Yorkshire and I've to use it with my new transit. It's for the cat 6 Diesel engines and as said is ti improve the emissions. Have to say mine has used hardly any in its first 5000 miles

Either they didnt fill mine up to the top or im using too much by the sounds of it!

Cheers gents ill look a bit deeper into it.

VW Caddy, 16 plate & 19k, just filled up with 4L after 4-5k miles since last time.

Hello all, I'm would like to extend an existing outside tap to another point in the garden. I'm about to pour a concrete patio and was hoping to run the water line underneath. There are existing drain (and who knows what) pipes running along the same wall so I'm nervous about digging too far...

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
