Discuss Do I need to buy anything extra to connect the flexi pipe? in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

I'm installing a new kitchen tap and the existing pipe connection (photo attached) doesn't seem like it will accommodate a flexi pipe connection (photo attached).

I haven't taken it off yet but it looks like a female connection on the copper pipe. So I guess something needs to be added to that. Just don't know what.

I was thinking of taking off the copper pipe all the way to the isolator valve and connect the flexi pipe to that but it's not long enough unfortunately.

Appreciate any help on this matter.

Thanks for answering. Silly question but how do you check if the flex is 1/2"? There's nothing the pipe to say and not sure what to measure. The pipe itself or the connector? Nothing is half inch.

Easiest way is to take the flex to the shop will either be 1/2 or 3/8”

1/2 you need my first link

3/8

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
