Just first fixing a kitchen, the existing dishwasher discharges into a gulley which enters the main drain,Custard wants it into existing gulley.Correct me but I thought dishwashers should discharge into main stack, due to food residue collecting into the trap in the gulley, has any one got the regs on this

I'm pretty sure grey water is ok to go into a gulley...

best to just use what is available, dead easy to scoop out a gully occasionally surely

Any food residue should just float away down the drain, its the fat that causes problems but it still causes problems where ever it goes if it doesn't wash away

All good then, wanted to check as its part of an extension that needs signing off.

well if it is a new extension then an internal soil pipe and connection should probably have been designed into the build!
