When you come across concealed pipework / valves hidden within or behind kitchen units, what is the best course of action?

For example, the trap to my kitchen sink is stupidly behind a wooden support at the back of my kitchen units. The only way to get to it would be to break my arm in a few places or remove the kitchen units.

What do you do in these wonderful scenarios?

Ah yes, nothing like going to a site to fix a boiler. You find the boiler was installed and the kitchen built around it. Ye can't even get the cover off!!!

theres always a way! if not like roger says a good oscillating cutter and try make a neat job of it. B&Q have a bosch on sale for £50 at moment .. if you have the funds grab the fein multitool

Unfortunately I don't. But I grabbed myself a nice little pad saw for £3.50 at Toolstation which I'm going to use instead ;)

Know exactly what you mean, seen an en-suite bathroom where the dividing wall must of been the last part coz you couldn`t even get the toilet pan past the shower cubicle and out the door.
