Hi Friends

Not sure if this has been asked before so Ill ask it.

A kitchen mixer tap is dripping, i took it apart and its a ceramic disc tap.

I had a couple of ceramic discs in the van so changed them, didnt work.

I told the custard I need the tap make & model to order the correct cartridges.

Is that correct? Wickes sell them but im sure a plumbers merchant told me there are like over 1500 different ones available and its hit & miss with the tap make & model.

Am I correct or what would you do?

Again, they want cheapest fix!

New tap. I never even bother trying to replace cartridges. Although, I do take them out of taps occasionally to have in van just incase

I carry several different ceramic valves which normally solves the problem and only resort to new taps if they are totally out of the ordinary.

Tbh if the taps crap I'd rather just change it. If it's a good expensive tap then I'd try and source the cartridge. There's a few websites which specialise it this type of thing.

Got any links for ones you recommend? It always seems to be a nightmare to track the right one down.
