Discuss Can anyone help? We have a dangerously corrupt landlord in the Gas Engineers Forum area at PlumbersForums.net

Have any engineers on here purchased their gas certificate booklets from screwfix? Our landlord has been trying to evict us throughout the pandemic as we eventually had to report him to the local council for disrepair as well as lack of gas safety check throughout our tenancy. They initiated section21 proceedings which expired in june 21. A few weeks after the expiration we recieved a gas certificate dated 15/04/2018 2 months to the day before we signed our tenancy. A couple of weeks after the appearance of a gas cert we had been requesting for 3 years they re start section 21 proceedings. To execute a section 21 eviction the landlord must show that the property was certified gas safe on the day we moved in. The previous tenant is certain the gas check never took place. It is dated 15/04/18 which is a Sunday and it signs off a fluless fireplace as safe despite the legal and manufacturers requirements of an external airvent.
Our landlord has a proven track record in providing fraudulant EPC certs. We know that this document is 100% fraudulant but is there anybody who knows about this series of screw fix booklets which may prove beyond any doubt its fradulance.
The certificate number is WB 284298
We know it's a long shot but a gas engineer suggested it is worth trying this.
Thanks Andrew and Lorna

As CJG has said, then if the number is real, ring Gassafe and ask if the card number and company numbers were correct for the year the cert was (supposedly) issued.
I'd bet they weren't.

Also try contacting Screwfix, they may know the dates that ranges of numbers were first printed
