Can't check pressure on Boss pressure valve (big round red thing) because there is no gauge attached. Thanks

There won’t be a pressure guage on the expansion vessel can I ask why you need one ?
 
There will be a filling loop somewhere eg silver flexi with one or two valves either end

Central heating losing pressure all the time

Trying to source a dual-flush valve
