I remember when Mars bars were 7p (1971 if memory serves me right). 3p for first class stamp back then too.

As an aside, Cadburys tried to sell a chocolate called Chalet but this name was banned by the EEC because it sounded as if it came from Switzerland and because it wasn't made there they couldn't use that name.

Someone wrote into The Times and asked where they thought Mars bars came from.

We're all slaves!

Anyone remember Texan bars or Nutty bars?

:63:

I used to love the Nutty bars. Problem was they looked like a turd which I presume why the stopped making them.

Texan - A Man's gotta chew what a man's gotta chew!

Remember Aztec bars and Old Jamaica bars, Beech Nut chewing gum, Cabana bars, Frys Five Centres, Licorice Tics, Pacers, Spangles, Wispa bar, Black Jacks? Terrys Crispy Caramel?

I remember moving on from all that stuff, first to the *** machine outside the sweet shop, then the off license, then the coppers knocking my mum and dads door...... then growing up.
