Hi all, got a bit of a different one today an old stopcock in a block of flats joined to steel pipe that needs replacing. I have seen these before where the body is left but the spindle and the rest of the top half swaped over. This is the old 'cock

This is what I think I can take the top half out of and swap over with the old:

Wessex Brass 3/4" x 3/4" Female x Female Stopcock - Hitchin Plumbing Supplies Limited

Any chances of this actually working?
 
Usually works with British manufactured, wouldn't trust continental. xenophobia has its place.
