I've got a shower that is just plumbed into my hot and cold water at the moment, and its rubbish as the header tank is only just above it. Bad installation in the first place i think by previous occupier. I am looking at replacing it with a power shower, what do you guys recommend? Are these combiner units any good? I was thinking of one of the Triton combined units, the ones that look like a conventional electric shower but just need a H&C feed from the tanks, are they any good? Seems easier than a separate pump as i thought you needed?

They are ok until you have to replace it in the future and can't get one with the feeds in the right places. You then have to start smashing tiles.

I would always go for a thermostatic bar shower with twin impellor pump personally.

I have a Mira shower. Internal pump with hot and cold connections, fed from tank above. Im happy with it, its nice and powerful, better than a mains shower.

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
