Hi All,

Following on from my 'lost' post I have an update on my training.....

Phoned Tradesgateway this afternoon chasing up on the letter that never arrived and my email with the financial information they wanted in order to get my training booked. So.... the letter still hasn't arrived, nor has the next letter they sent out subsequently to say they had the information they were after.

Anyway, the upshot of this is that I have been provisionally been booked in for my first week at the beginning of February (I need to get Christmas out of the way and get some money saved to cope with the week of no earning!!). Woohoo to getting my first week booked!

Not so woohoo when I find out that not only is there no training centre in Worcester (as I had been informed of when I enrolled), but there is no training centre in Gloucester either (as I had been informed of when I enrolled - it was in the final stages of completion apparently).

So now my nearest is Wolverhampton which isn't really commutable. Annoyed.com.

On a different note is there anyone that can offer me a spare bed for a week at the beginning of February next year???? I'm clean, tidy and I can cook......

This isn't going to end well.

Thanks croppie!! I needed something as a headline grabber!!!

Also, that thread was the one I could find. The other, with my course info to date, seems to have vanished into the ether :-/

But i also haven't had a rush of offers of a bed either!!! So it might just end better than you hoped!!

Re: I need a bed (and an update on training (I seem to have lost my original thread..

Thanks croppie. Although that thread was the one I could find. My thread regarding my training is the one that seems to have vanished into the ether.

But hey ho! This may not end well but I haven't been rushed with offers so maybe it might still end in a civilised fashion..... :)

My daughter lives in Wolverhampton Kirsti.

Not sure how many people in her house but I can ask her if you want.

Birthday cake?

Hope you've enough for everyone. .......

Re: I need a bed (and an update on training (I seem to have lost my original thread..

Thanks croppie. That would be greatly appreciated. I won't need a bed until first week of February but I'm just trying to get organised.

Will happily send her more info that I'm not a serial killer too if necessary :)

Re: I need a bed (and an update on training (I seem to have lost my original thread..

I'd worry more about her if I were you......

Re: I need a bed (and an update on training (I seem to have lost my original thread..

I may be able to assist but can't confirm for at least a couple of weeks, i live about 8 miles from Wolves and did my training there.
Can't believe that they havn't booked weeks 1 & 2 together.
Sorry to appear blunt but ring up again and ask for a week 2 date. You need to hassle for the next week as soon as you have a date for the 1st week otherwise you get "lost".
I can reassure you that the training is OK at Wolves and you will learn lots.

Thanks Andy :) always good to have a couple of solutions if I need them!

Will ring them again and look to get a second week booked... the pain in the butt is that I can't afford to take off consecutive weeks from work otherwise I would have done just that.

But thank you for the potential offer of a bed.... I don't need it til Feb so a couple of weeks wait is fine :)

Re: I need a bed (and an update on training (I seem to have lost my original thread..

Hi Andy,
Slight change of plans as now not starting my training til first week of March (2nd-6th). Would the potential offer of a bed still be available for then instead?
Many thanks,
Kirsti

Hi Kirsti
I am really sorry but we have recently been approved as foster carers and are expecting child(ren) immently so would cannot help with the spare bedroom.
I am happy to assist in anything else that i can to ensure you get the most from your training.
Apologies again
Andy

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
